IGS has busy pioneering a revolutionary new furnace system, our ThermX furnace. The first ThermX high velocity furnace was installed in Thailand at the beginning of 2014. Using new technology and design not seen in the industry before, the ThermX furnace enables utilization of both convection and radiant heat transfer to produce uniform heating along the full length of the kettle. Due to this design our ThermX furnace increases furnace efficiency and extends kettle life. The prototype was extensively tested to be confirmed very low erosion rates evenly distributed along the kettle wall. IGS is proud to lead the way in greener technologies for our industry.
